I had a little 92 Ranger with a 302 "based" engine in it mated to a T5 once upon a time . I had a guy with a Lt1 Camaro Z28 pull up next to me @ about 80 mph and give me this go to hell look . He dropped two gears and I dropped one at the same time . I pulled his sorry *** all the way to 150+ mph with that little truck . It could have gone faster had it not been a box on wheels . I am sure he was shocked ............ teach him to pick on little trucks .

TRUCKS ARE SLOW!
i get trucks trying to race me all the time too. I'll punch the gas for a split second just incase all they want is to see me goose it. but i will not risk a ticket for a truck. I've heard there are fast trucks but i've never seen any on the road, just a couple of old school trucks at the track.

 

Yeah stock ones , probably the most ignorant post I've seen in a while. Just cause you haven't seen one doesn't mean they aren't out there.

 

got my *** kicked at ennis by one of those new chevy "ss" trucks, thebig *** all wheel drive ones, it was on slicks with a supercharger running low 12s consistantly

 

wow man, it depends on what is done to the truck and the exp. of the driver. whens the last time u ran heavily modded Lightning or SRT-10. yeah, please STFU.

i thought this forum was meant to share opinions and ideas with people that all had a common interest? im 18 and even i know that. grow up please, he just commented on how it was funny that people that had a non-racecar/truck appearance would try to race.

I said "TRUCKS ARE SLOW" cause everyone was getting their panties in a twist about the guy who started this thread, even though thats not what he meant.
I know there are PLENTY of fast trucks. I personally have only seen two. And there were both old school chevy's.
I know there are trucks out there that could keep up with my car, and a few that would give me a thrashing, but I have never personally seen one. 99% of truck owners don't buy trucks with the intention on drag racing them.

FAST TRUCKS i was at speedtech in fort worth last week. there was a duramax 4dr. 4x4 put down 722 RWHP & maxed out the torque on the dyno 1200+ ft. lbs. watch out for those guys...... Quadzilla

If so this thread is about trucks trying to race F bodies. I laugh at slow trucks trying to race fast cars. Just like you would laugh at a camaro towing a trailer up a steep hill.

 

i threw a rev at a lamborghini not too long ago . its not like i was serous, but im not sure if he understood the joke lol. there are alot of idiots out there who believe the hemi commercials, watch a little too much fast and furious or have a k&n filter and hypertech tune and suddenly think they're driving an indy car. just let them feel good about their ride.

I'd race ya but I don't have anything for ya just yet. My big *** crew cab's only running low 14's, but very capable of running high 13's in the winter. Still not enough to run with the LS1's IMO. But I have surprised a few mustangs, even a non-blown 99+ cobra vert. that got the light on me, but I reeled him in from a 4 car length to less than a 1 car length at HRP one night.

The point is I have a crew cab and no one ever gives me a second look, even with open cutouts and cam lopin. But I have surprised my share of cars. Cops don't even give this thing a second look. lol.

I do understand that there are plenty of redneck trucks out there that like to try and race, hell, it happens to me in my truck too. But there are plenty out there that can hold their own. And yes, I'd try to race an LS1, knowing that I'd get it handed to me. I'd just like to see how I'd fare. Gimme something to shoot for.

And yes the hazard light flashers is
