With my 7,000+lb. 03 Dodge 4x4 4-door dually, 9" lift and 35's, with a few "mods".I could spank just about every import around here from 3rd gear up. I'd give the 4.6 'Stangs a good run for a little while. Don't mess with a diesel truck unless you know he's stock. They might just hurt your feelings. A guy at a 'ricer-hangout' tire shop last week said he heard was running low 13's in it. Word gets around when you spank a few pretty good

 

Worst I ever saw was a fine chick in a Newer Ford PowerStroke Crew Cab Diesel 4x4 lifted, spank a Supra's *** in the 1/8th mile. It wasn't even close. Don't recall what see ran, but it was bad. It was import night at the track, so that made it all that much worse. lol.

 

hey my truck aint too slow. 355 with some back yard head porting, 230/244 hdy flat tap, demon 750, single plane, headers and bullets. Ran 8.7@ 79 in 1/8mi with crappy carb tune and 4400 lb, and vibrating drive shaft up top. that was abou a year ago, so new times are hoping to come this weekend, now that dave @ rock-on fixed my trans.

My truck could hang with an LT1 from a 40 roll. That was once. I raced my truck vs. my LS1 and guess the outcome. My truck is for fun not speed.

The point is you never know. The Livernoise Escalade runs mid 12s on 24s with a ton of stereo equipment in it. We won't even get into the Parish, 2toneblown, Speed Engineering etc trucks out there. True your F-body may be fast but not all of em are and when you run on the street traction is marginal at best in high HP applications (in cars) and some of us are packing 4wd so busting out 1.6-1.8 60's at a stoplight is a breeze.

Pretty much the same attitude I have. If they run 16s in the quarter it isnt worth the time. I dont even run with stock Z28s, GTs, or basic "sporty" cars. What are you going to say after you beat them........yeah I have a ton of mods done and beat your shitty stock car, WOW.

Let me guess one of the mods that you havent listed is that you are spraying huh. Im just saying that you just might be surprised how well a big truck that looks like it isnt worth the gas to run(my truck). When I get back I will have all of the mods in place to more than hold my own. It may have taken me alot more money to get my vehicle to go that fast but I can still carry my four wheeler in the bed tow my boat and carry 5 people and still haul *** and your ta can only haul ***. And before people start flaming me for hating t/a's and camaros Im not saying that at all I would like to get a black m6 camaro ss or t/a after Im through with my truck. There are just quite a few sleepers around that you may not realize can show you their tailgate.

 

I just wait till my tranny is fixed so i can drop in the 408 i had built, then show some people around here what a fast truck is.

Ive killed several bolt on lt1 z28's on the street most of them werent even close especially with 4x4. Ive gotten 1 ls1 kill at the track, the guy was hot lapping and I got him by a 2/10 th's had exhaust thats all I know and Im an all motor 5.3 with a heavy *** 5400+ lbs to lug around. We wont even get started on gt mustangs its almost to the point where I dont waist gas damn 93 and 9 mpg sucks. My truck looks stock the only thing that gives it away is the exhaust.
