Default Chris Simms Sucks...

I don't like Chris Simms. He truly does suck. I feel bad for Major Applewhite. That kid had talent and leadership skills. He could've been a great QB. Mack Brown is an idiot for playing Chris instead of Major.

Anybody else feel the same way?

Yeah if his dad hadn't donated major money to the school he would've rode the bench for 3 years, fucked up the year he finally got the play, and wouldn't be near the *** he is today.

Man I hate that guy...

Simms should have went to Tennessee, they needed a QB at the time he signed with Texas. Texas WOULD have had a National Championship if Major would have started his whole career.

Exactly why they ran mack brown out of North Carolina on a rail... He has some recruiting talent, but the man cannot coach. It will really **** me off to see him lose again to stoops who has less talent.

i never said the Ags were more talented, i personally think that Texas has had more talent over the last 5+ years than any Big 12 team. but they SHOULD have atleast one national title out of all the talented guys that have been through there. Gig'em

Shoulda coulda woulda, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. You can't look at a team over a time frame and just pinpoint certain shortcomings to suit your opinion. With teams of equal caliber/talent such as those of the SEC, and all the "Floridas" having pretty dismal 2004 campaigns, I'd say that our Big 12 giants utilized their talent to a fuller potential than many other institutions.

If you look at the big picture, OU and Texas have been of recent, among the most winningest programs in the country. And this is all tailored of previously mediocre teams in the 90s. Yes, with more talent, there are greater expectations, but 5 one or two loss seasons and participating in bowl games that don't begin with "Gallery Furniture" and end with ".com" certainly isn't anything to scoff at.

But the word is aTm has acquired some new talent this year as well, so if they don't have a winning season, I guess we can just go back to saying aTm football sucks right? And yes, I am a UT alumni, but moreso, I am a diehard fan of college football. This year should be interesting... keep your eye on the Big 10

I think the Sooners have had more talent that the 'Horns the last few years, until now. They've had a great QB, a great running game, and plenty of receivers to hit down the field. Not to mention a great defense.

And then they fell apart against SoCal...
