was backed into and got false information
was backed into and got false information I was at a gas station on Main and Elgin (Houston) when this 1990's Acura legend backed into me, and it wasn't a nice legend, paint was missing everywhere from the car. The guy gets out, I get out, pissed to holy hell, and my car was in prefect condition until this happened. Anyways he asks me if I want his information and I was like yeaah, what the hell do you think. So he writes down his information and says he doesn't have his insurance card, uh huh. Anyways it turns out all the info was false, except I got his license plate number. If anyone could help me out in finding any info on this license plate number that would be great. It is G79-PCZ. This was my first collision of any sort so I should have asked to see his license, if he even had one, but I didn't. There is about 200 dollars worth of damage to my driver's side door.

Oh, and for future referece, when someone backs into you, immediately get the cops there. They will write a report and this helps in court and for insurance purposes.

since there are no current leins on his car, its paid off. That means he probably doesn't have insurance. See if you can get the cops to knock on his door for doing a hit-and-run and hit him for not having insurance too.

I wouldnt call him though, that would just let him know you found him and you are after him. He oviously wants to avoid you so dont do that. Either talk to the cops or bring some buddies and show up at his house and suprise him. Try to talk to him alone though, just bring some friends in case but tell them to wait in your car. Id just try to straighten it out, dont try to **** with him yet unless you are really pissed off.
