anyone know what the HP difference is from a mustang dyno to a dynojet?

the mustang dyno will always read about 20-40rwhp difference compared to the dyno jet.

Incorrect

So if you dyno 100whp 'mustang dyno' on a stock civic and then go to a 'dynojet' you really think it would be ~130whp on a dynojet? (chose a middle figure of your estimate)


Every dyno will always dyno different than another. If you go from one shops "dynojet" to another that also has a "dynojet" you could have a difference of maybe 5-15rwhp. Dynos are IMO just a ballpark figure to tell you about where you stand.

track numbers are what counts..... so go get a rear end and put the power to da ground...

I have heard anywhere from 10% to 15% difference from a mustang to a dynojet. But they are just tools to tune your car anyway.

FWIW- With my 383 running through the 12 bolt, 28" tires, 4L60E and a 4200 stall I made right at 400 rwhp on the Mustang dyno and then moved over to the Dyno jet and put down 459 rwhp. That netted 10.67 in average air trying to get the slicks to stick on a less than ideal track prep.

Like these guys have said. The dyno number is more for tuning and serve as a guide line. Good luck!!!

i put down 388hp on a mustang...so i was just curious...car ran a 12.2 with the old cam...need to get to the track to run with the converter and new cam
