Texas vs USC! What do you guys think???
Ok...gonna be making a BIG bet here...
I'm taking Texas and getting the 7 points...
I am actually thinking of taking Texas straight up as I think they will beat USC...am I crazy??
I only caught a couple of USC games and they were the close ones with Fresno State and Notre Dame...
I've watched Texas destroy everyone in the BIG 12...VY is good but I was more impressed with there Defense...
I don't think IMHO USC has played a team with the caliber of defense like Texas....
What do you guys think??
And no...I'm not a longhorn....I'm an Aggie.

I'm glad a team from Texas is playing for the national championship, and I'm even more glad that it's Texas and not another school. I think the Horns have a great shot to knock off USC straight up. Texas has a better defense, better special teams, better OL, and I think they have a chip on their shoulder with something to prove because they feel disrespected by the fans and media. Right now you can get 7 1/2 or 8 in some places. I like Texas' chances plus the points. I also lean to the under. BTW, I'm on both of these plays as well myself. So far in today's bowl games I'm 12-8 with the Sugar Bowl still to go. I've got Georgia -7 big. Good luck!

I thought OU was gonna win last year, and we all know what happened there. And think, OU shut Texas out last year and then got the score run up on them by USC. Going on what ive seen in the regular schedule, I would think this would be a good game. But I think if USC shows up like hey did last year, it could be nasty.

It's tough to ignore two Heisman trophy winners on one team. Then add that they've won it all the last two years, and they're as confident as ever. They know what it takes to win it all and they've got players with lots of experience playing on the biggest of stages. As much as I want the Longhorns to win, they're going to have to play their best ball of the year to do it. I think USC wins a close one due to their experience.

A moneyline bet (+224 @ Pinnacle) on Texas and a win would be oh so sweet! I'll take Texas and the points though since I don't play offshore, and probably the under as well.

I think im gona have to go wiht USC on this one. With the 2 heisman nominiees(sp) and that fact that theyre in a "been there won that" situation, I think they can pull it off.

LOL @ D...
I break it down as this:
USC has never played a deffense at our caliber, ND was a great challenge but w/ the game today proved they are not enough. WE have great speed in likes can chase down fast backs. It will be tough with their two backs Reggie Bush and Lendale White, but i think the whole press situation is going to give the Defense inspiration to kick some ******* ***.
Secondly I feel UT is a team that plays off ppls confidence. Everybody knows how Vince Young is as a player and his die hard mentality to do what ever it takes to win. He will take the heisman loss and all this bullshit press and publicity and use it to fuel his fire to win.
Another thing that is unheard of is comparing Reggie Bush to some of the best in the pros saying he might be the choosen one and a pic of a liftetime, but that is so much b.s. You never know what is going to happen and anything could ruin his career(that even goes towards v.y. or anybody else in football). I feel when Bush makes it in the pros he will get a big fat ******* reality check. All i can hope is that he gets a big head from all of this and fails.
UT has one of the best offensive lines in the country and I think overall we are a better team. It breaks down as this, USC has the #1 ranked offense and #2 scoring offense, they also have the #36 defense. Texas, on the other hand, has the #3 offense, the #1 scoring offense, and the #6 defense. Let alone our special teams have greatly grown and improved minus our mishaps w/ pat's but oh well... we will see...
im going w/ Texas, even though im def. biased, but I just hope we absolutely **** alllllll over USC
