more problems keeping the bird from getting on the road
When i tried to put the alternator on, the bracket f.cking broke off like paper! Someone had used cement rubber glue to glue the bolt hole tip area back on. Now i have to find a way to tow it to the shop, put it up on jacks, remove the power steering pump, alternator, ect, and replace the whole god damned bracket.
Ordered one from Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet for $57. should have it in about 2 days.
Its like my car doesnt want to be on the road anymore. Im afraid that when we pull off the pump we'll find more problems...burned wires, frayed lines. Im on a tight *** budget.
THEN we got the damn malibu wagon. took two hours just to remove the transmission mount, find one that wasnt stripped out already at O'Reilys, and put it back on. We went thru 3 tranmissions mount, all were stripped before we got it and these suckers are supposed to be brand new? wtf?
Anyone have a 84-89 firebird around them in a junkyard or something they could pull some cosmetic pieces off of for me? will pay for the favor.
sad day for me.
