car was pretty impressive for sure. it should go low 5.90s i'm sure with a little better track. the car wasn't trailered to the track either, he drove it from Keller to Dallas to work, and from Dallas to Kennedale to the track....kinda crazy for a street car....makes it about the baddest LS1 street car in DFW.

The car was trailered to the track and from what I heard they hurt the motor.

The density altitude was very low and catered for his car (great turbo weather!) Just wondering where this better track setting would be because I want to go there!

well, if you were watching the cars going down the track you could see that they were moving around a LOT on the big end and the pit side lane wasn't really hooking that well at all and just about every car that made any kind of power that went down that lane got out of the groove. i would say the track temp was probably to low and there was a little bit to much dew in the air and on the track. with the track temp a little warmer and the prep the same i bet the car would go low 5.90s easy (unless they grenaded the motor)

Well, this is when we went the first time of the year. I couldnt zoom on him, and he was barely stalled.
Here is a video http://videos.streetfire.net/video/C...50492D9892.htm
Probably still optimizing. I just uploaded it.

When I raced the Turbo TA the DA was -1130....That is bad *** racing weather. I didn't have any problems hooking that car up either. I set the shocks up way tight in the front and the rear. It was hell trying to keep that thing on the ground. Everytime I tried to leave off of any more then 4 pounds it would stand staight up and dart hard to the left. I havn't done any suspension work on this car and it needs to be looked at for sure. I found multiple things out of adjustment. I was running the tires (28/10.5) at 15psi. They were holding like a bitch. The car has a 5.8 in it as it sits. This car was driving from Dallas to Kennedale and raced strictley on 93octane pump gas. Only one run had ice in the intercooler cause the line was so long to get any ice. This car is a beast. I think it would calm down dramatically if John put a glide in it. I checked the compression and all cylinders are good. No broken valve springs or rocker arms, so I am guessing it stacked a rod bearing cause it is knocking pretty deep in the motor. I checked the oil on the dipstick and it is over full so that really surprises me. It is a full Lunati rotating assy. 382ci with billet rods. I was just driving the car. Pulls like a freit train forsure.

do you guys need to be reminded of the track temp. it was 34 degrees so the track was a cold one. The track was prepped great and the only difference is as you saw, the later it got the colder it got the worse the track got.
