Default Need a shop for 383 offset ground setup

Who should I talk to in the DFW area. If not here, how about houston? Just picked up a 6.0 longblock, and need to pick my path of either 370 bore, or 383 offset ground. Money is ready now, just limited. Max effort 11.75:1 compression and nasty heads and intake. Truth to the fact you cant use a 6.0 crank in a car? Havent confirmed that one yet.

Brandon, believe the 01+ cranks will work in a car. The older cranks have a wider flange on the back.

I have a pm into the guy, hopefully he will call back and let me know. Otherwise, I might change my order to a bare block.

Here is his reply,

"Brandon i thought that you could use the 6.0 crank, the part # is the same 216. The older 6.0 cranks stuck out past the rear engine cover. That part # is 215. See ya later this week.

Sounds like it is the right one, someone confirm the part #?

That sounds right. Also I think the older 6.0 cranks can be used if your using a th350/400 or 4l80. The longer crank just elimates the need for the spacer that is required when using one of the above trannys. But if you go back to a 4l60e or 6pd the crank would have to be changed.

Thanks Clint. I feel better about it now, if the crank didnt work I was just going to do the 370, but now I will go ahead with the 383-387 somewhere.
