Default Texas approves 80 mph on rural I-10 and I-20

It won't affect all of us, but those long trips thru West TX on I-10 should be better now. Hopefully this is the beginning of several 80 mph zones in TX.

i like the sound of this already . all this means is that when people wanna race on that part of road the ticket wont be as bad . but on a serious note im glad they raised the speed limit. i think 65 is too slow for our busy roads.

Thats great. It would be even greater if they gave me my money back on the ticket I got on I-10 while coming back from California a few years ago. I was doing 80

That cop was a dick. He also gave me a ticket for being in the passing lane. Nobody ever gets those tickets!!!

Well unfortunately, that the way it works. Very few cops get owned for obvious reasons...

I'm confused - West, TX is on I35, just north of Waco...

(heh you gotta stop in West for a kolache some time... love the hots with cheese!)

(West TX being in Central TX still bugs me...)

I wish more people would get those tickets. Not much pisses me off more than cars running side by side going too slow-and you cant pass them. If people would only use the left lane for passing (as they are supposed to) that wouldnt ever happen.

he meant West Texas as in the state of West Texas, in the country Texas... there are other states in Texas like Central Texas, South Texas, East Texas, etc.
