Default Nasty rumor about HRP
I just heard a nasty rumor that someone bought HRP and plans on tearing it down and building a subdivision. Granted it was a " someone told my friend who knows....." type of rumor, but I did hear it today.

This nasty rumor is not true. It was put to rest on the HRP site.

I wouldnt have been surprised...not fixing the boards in several months led me to believe it was getting run into the ground.

Why would that happen? There is no reason for a rumor like that to be even half true. HRP will be here FOREVER!

Im either thinking of englishtown or atco up north where a subdivision was built in the area after the track and now the track has a noise limit. That being said, who the hell would want to live next to a drag strip.

I want to live next to a drag strip...

Thunderhill, a little circle track near Austin, has a decibel limit. It's 96db from 100ft away at WOT. But yea, they built a sub division near by... I don't think the track will be there for too much longer.

They are going to grind the track and install/update/repair/whatever the fencing during the down time this winter also. Or at least as of last weekend.
