NEW to AUSTIN I was wondering if there are any meets here in austin. i just moved here from houston so i am used to there racing scene. i was hoping that there is something similar out here.

saturday nights some people meet over off 79 in an autozone parking lot, but dont expect there to be much racing, iwas talking to a guy at work and he said they keep "all the young punk kids and damn street racers" outta the lot because they got kicked outta home depo on 1431
There is a regular Fbody meet in Austin once a week on Thursdays (places very but no racing, just car chat and beers). Get to know the regulars here in Austin and in AFBforums.com because we do not post on the internet where the fun happens. 
Since the old car show (called 1431) broke up, the car shows have been split up between the north and the south. The north location is in Round Rock (as stated above) and the south location is in Oak Hill at the Y (it is called the Y because that is where HW 290 and HW 71 split when you are leaving Austin.)

it's on 183 & 620 i believe... I went there once with my 74 after every1 got kicked outta the home depot. Lots of nice cars, but the really good ones didn't show. Guess it pissed some ppl off
