I will say Kareem (sp) can drive and his car is very impresive. The race will be good no matter what the out come. However, if yall both post your dyno pulls, then state what gear each of you is going to start in it would be easy to predict the winner. I respect that it is being taken to the street just be careful stuff happens real fast at those speeds. Good luck to both of yall.

i actually saw a supercharged impala run 12 0r 11's cant remember with a trailer on the back, they actually had a class for it at at race,

I'll add to the "non-horsepower" crew here. I wasn't fortunate to be the owner of a money tree in my back pocket, so I can't have a 1000 horsepower car. Doesnt matter how much horsepower you have, you still need to be able to drive....

Lets go rent a stock car, and have an actual DRIVERS race between 3-4 people, and the SAME car each pass.....Then we'll see who can and can't drive.

 

Nothing that fast, mid 11's @ 118mph, but I have no problem with banging through the gears. I will ******* guarantee you that.

No one said you guys couldn't drive. A few of us just simply stated that a "from 80mph" race doesn't involve much driver skill....no matter who is at the wheel...that would include myself, Tony, Elvis, and Scooby Doo.

 

i guess we're beating a dead horse with these some of these guys....its always the guys that dont have high HP cars that do all the **** talking...

118mph??? thats it..i was doing that **** with a 4 cylinder almost 10 years ago in a FWD car...im planning to do 150mph now in another FWD car..

Yeah. It would be neat to have a 800rwhp car, but it's really not in my plans or on my want list at this time.

What are you racing these days? It wouldn't happen to have an auto would it?

 

cars were made to be driven more than a quarter mile at a time. nothing wrong with quarter mile racing, but its too restricting at times. just as much as you guys talk about setting up a car to be good from a dig, a car also has to be setup to roll race at those speeds. brakes, handling, horsepower and driver skill play into the factor. and believe me, both these guys got plenty of skill. Maximo, your post was hilarious. you should come to houston sometime.
