Astros Trade Rumors
The current rumor now is:
White Sox: Garland
for
Astros: ***** T. and Buchholz
I like Garland in the rotation, but I'd hate to lose *****'s D in center.
A first half rotation of:
Oswalt
Pettitte
Garland
Williams
Hirsch
Sounds pretty damn good though, especially when Roger comes back in June.

I heard that. I know a few people have been interested in Taylor. Wouldn't be a bad trade but I heard Taylor may have failed his physical and the deal may not go through.

According to that, it seems as if it is either Pettitte or Garland. I think I'd rather see Pettitte back than Garland here without ***** T.
We got this guy though?
Lincoln Holdzkom was born March 23, 1982 in Pasadena, California. He may be best known for his pitching talent but few people know that he was a child piano prodigy. He started playing the piano at the tender age of two years old under the strict tutelage of his father Christopher Holdzkom, who was a well known pianist himself in Austria during the late sixties. He appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1988 and later contributed a song to the critically acclaimed soundtrack for the movie Forrest Gump. After an incident with his agent in 1995 he abrubtly called it quits and has yet to return to the music business. He now plays baseball in the Chicago Cubs minor league system but it has been said that he is known to tickle the ivories from time to time.

lol yea I read that too. I think Id rather see Pettitte come back as well and keep ***** in CF. If we did continue to pursue Jon are there any decent CF'ers available? We could always bring back old Kenny Lofton for a year.

I'd imagine if we do get rid of *****, Burke will play a majority of the time out there and we'll look for a new CF when Burke takes over for Biggio at 2nd next season.

I think Andy's agents are merely using the Yankees as leverage to get to a figure the Astros aren't at right now.
I don't see why Clemens would ever pitch in NY or Boston again. With his schedule here the way it is and with his family here... the only reason (IMO) he won't pitch for the Astros is if Andy isn't here as well.
I can see:
Andy pitching in NY without Roger
Andy pitching in Houston without Roger
Andy and Roger pitching in Houston
I cannot see:
Andy and Roger pitching in NY
Roger pitching in Houston without Andy
Roger pitching in NY

Okay, so they get the publicity when he breaks the record... but I still can't understand why they'd give him 16 million for him to play in 60% of the games and be a menace in the locker room.
