Default Wtb: Lifted Truck Or Vette Asap

friend of mine is selling his 03 F150 to carmax and wants to get a lifted z71 or lifted crewcab f150. The truck must be a 4x4. he likes the 99-03?<- think that was the last yr of that silverado and he wouldnt mind another F150 crew cab that is lifted. He also saw a corvette on craigslist. It was an 81.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/car/246619105.html
but unfortunately we called and it was sold.
but if you know anyone that has a vette that is around that yr and clean, let us know. TX only. He will have cash in hand and ready to buy. $14k will be the tops that he can spend tho. He has already had his truck appraised and knows his limit.
let me know if you can help
Thanks

They didnt have a vette in 1983. He probably wants the stingray body style, thats 1982 and below. Those dont make very good dd's, the 1984+ do a little better as dd's but not buy much.

The stingray had 2 body styles c2 (1963-1967) and c3 (1968-1982). From 1968 till 1976 they all were coups or convertables. From 1977-1982 they only had hatchbacks (my favorite style). The 1977+ are normally cheaper. The guy down the street from me has a 1974 (I think) for sale. It has a price on it for like $6500. I might be wrong about the price though. Let me know if he would be intrested in it and I will get the guys number for you. It looks pretty clean.
