Default More pics of my LS1 Coupe.

Just thought I would share. It is still pretty dirty and needs to be lowered more. Dang thing is too light and hardly compresses the suspension.

i'm starting to consider the carburated setups more and more, i don't even want to learn to tune EFI, but a carb is a lot easier.

Yeah man, It would have cost me a crap load to go EFI with tuning cost and everything. With this setup I just plug in my laptop and set my timing and rev limiter. Soon I will be going to the dyno to properly jet it.

starting to think a 395 with a dominator and some L92s would make some power... not to mention Barry Grant is working on some new "full port" carb for LSX motors that are basically "direct to port carbs"

http://barrygrant.com/

http://www.barrygrant.com/images/BadManImg.htm

this is the "BADMAN" on a set of ETP 11* LS1 heads. basically the same as a 4BBL but this would deliver more accurate and precise fueling.
(looks like it might clear up some room under the cowl compared to a typical 4BBL carb too.)

several Pro Stock guys are already testing these new carbs ( a larger version ofcourse) instead of twin dominators, they would have twin "BADMANs" allowing them to build the ports "straighter" up and down.

EDIT: something else from BG to consider...probably pricy as hell

Not knocking the guys set up but there is a good reason they went EFI.

Well, for my benefit I can tune it very easily. I am old school when it comes to carb's. IF I was a 6speed, I would have went with EFI. Carb/victor jr. makes tons of power easily.

For a mainly drag car, this was the way to go for me. BUT, I have seen tons of EFI LS1's fast as hell, just easier for me. Like I say, with a/c, power steering and all the bells and whistle, EFI is the only way to go.

BRAD : Yeah man, My new brake line for the rear should come in today so I can drive it a little more safer. I hung the front end back on it last night. You need to come by tonight foo..

I bought the carb from summit. Really good deal. It has billet metering blocks, billet base, down leg boosters, etc. It is basically the venturies of a 750 holley strip carb. No choke or air defuser. I'll post some better pics tonight.

hey, i forgot to ask, but are you running one of the "carb controllers"? like the MSD 6010 or just running stock computer to run timing and just leaving the injector part of the harness unplugged?
