Default i need help quick

my TA has been runnin like crap. it idles somewhat fine until i put it in reverse or drive. then it starts shaking like it wants to turn itself off but it doesnt. it sounds like a car with a huge cam. i took it to a local shop and the guy told me that 2 cylinders were misfiring.(cylinders 4 and 7) he said it could either be the coil packs, spark plugs, or the injectors. ive already changed out the coil packs for both those cylinders with brand new ones, and its still runnin like crap.the next step would be to change the spark plugs. im just wondering if the spark plugs may be the problem or will it really be the injectors? the spark plugs it has right now are the bosch platinums and i keep hearing that those plugs are no good. so im thinking it may just be the plugs. have any of you guys had this happen to you? i just want to get my car back up and running by this weekend and i need some helpful knowledge from you guys. thanx.

how long have you been running the Bosch plugs? If you've had them for awhile, and been running ok, it wouldn't be first on the list. Any odd engine noises? Find someone with a decent scan tool, swap injectors around (namely the 4 and 7 injectors) and see if the misfire follows. Try to isolate the issue before spending any $$$ on it.

I had random misfires show up, car ran like it wanted to choke itself, strong smell of fuel, and generally bogging itself down. Are those what you're seeing? If so, it could be an O2 sensor. The good news is, they're easy to replace. The bad news is, they're not terribly cheap (~$80-90 each).

Go to an O'reilly's and get some NGK tr55's, they should already be gapped. If that doesn't work then try the O2 sensors. I've been through the same stuff, its trial and error.

Check codes. Could also be corroded plug wires. Check those first.

Just go to the store and ask for the NGK TR55 for an LS1. They have a different no. for them. I'm guessing they will be the v-power cause the iridiums are expensive and you don't want platinum's.

Oreilly's part # for the v-power TR55's is 3951 i believe. Why did you change the coils before the plugs? Plugs are way cheaper. I usually start with the cheaper stuff when i try to fix a spark issue. I would have done plugs, then wires, then coils, but that's just me.

yea. but my friend has a code scanner and he deleted it for me. so now its not on at all. and there are times when all the gauges and the lights get dim while this stuff happens and then it just kicks back and everything will be fine for a lil bit. i just changed the plugs and that didnt solve the problem. so on to the next step.
