Default BMW guys

I have been doing some searching trying to find the best place to help me mod my M3. The best and only place I have really found is Active Autowerk. I know a few of you on here also have E46 M3s. I can find tons of stuff for the E36, but E46 stuff is limited. This is kind of what I would be intrested in.

The E46 M3 in 2006 – Turbo “buzz”

The secret is out and there is no sense in trying to subdue the “turbo buzz” among the E46 M3 community!

It comes as no surprise that several tuners and enthusiast(s) are focusing their efforts towards a turbo application for the E46 M3. The car has already been supercharged, has broken the 500rwp barrier and has already achieved an 11 second pass. This is old news.

Turbo and BIG power is where the E46 M3 is headed.

Active Autowerke
Active Autowerke was the first BMW tuning company to develop a reliable and working supercharger kit for the E46 M3. The progress and evolution of their centrifugal blower system have been remarkable. Even the most avid critics have had to renounce their maxim of the S54 not being able to be “boosted”.
As of the moment, Active Autowerke and JMWeb (E46 M3 owner and enthusiast) are working to develop a turbo system for the E46 M3. Although details have yet to be released, Karl Hugh (owner and head developer at Active Autowerke) has ensured that this system will not, in any way, conflict with their current Level I, II and III supercharger kits. Not only will this projected turbo system will be extremely exclusive and pricey but the power delivery will be completely different. Thus, we can almost guarantee a price tag upward of $55,000 for such an exclusive and powerful system. As of right now it is not available in "KIT CONFIGURATION. Details to be released soon

Thanks,
Thomas

The reason why I'm intrested is because it has a full wanenty as if the car were new. Plus on the phone they said the kits range from 550rwhp-750rwhp on pump gas. True about being a waste of money... Lots of people think I have wasted my money by spending over $25,000 on a camaro not including the price of the car.

BHS (Bavarian Hyper Sports) has a turbo M3 that is putting around 600-700RWHP. The owner of BHS was telling me that the owner of the car has well over 100k into the car. Its over here on the northside, 1960 and Mills road.

But I agree with Raf, not worth it.

lol on another note I have also been looking at an LS7 swap. They have the kit, and it may be a better, and cheaper deal all together.

Should have asked me last night man. http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...bos/Turbo_Kits

That's the latest and greatest IMO. Pretty complete kit, but you'll need some serious tuning. And there aren't a whole lot of people capable of tuning BMWs.

I don't even think the kit is even out yet, but it will be soon. Big $$$, but hey thats the price you gotta pay to play with BMWs. A kid here at the shop is looking into turbo kits for his '04.

I still say it's not worth it, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

I think it would be cooler to do full suspension, cams, full exhaust + intake. Set the car up to rip on the street, be reliable and fun to drive.

Then you've got the camaro for when you want to lay rubber/ **** around.

I guess he didn't hear you...

That hpf kit looks good, but i've seen some shotty stuff come out of that place. I would wait for other people to buy and try the kit before you jump into anything.

Back when I had a bmw the place that everyone was talking about was active autowerks but they wanted like 10k for an e36 so I stopped looking. They are supposed to be good though. A couple other were dinan, racing dynamics, ess tuning.

No ****, I've just been following the E46 turbo kits. Never even heard of the place other than that. They've definately got some $$$ and time invested in the kit though, and all the stuff included is good stuff.

I just read the site again, says March '07 they're looking to release it. I'm sure it will be all over bimmer forums/e46 fanatics when its done on being run on the street.

I'll be down in that TX thursday night sonny

Right? That would be pimp, I really want to see Austin.

That HPF place looks like a big operation. Sucks if the quality of that kit is crap. For $16k, I would think otherwise....
