Default 2 year anniversary dinner???

Last year on our anniversary I took her to the Aquarium on 45. It was nice but not the best. Any suggestions on a really nice restaurant? Doesn't have to be super fancy.

Thanks for the help
Joshua

The Striphouse in the middle of Downtown Houston. That place is awesome if you like classy steakhouses. Very nice place, excellent food.

Go eat the buffet at L'auberge du Lac. It's a casino in Lake Charles. Only $25 a person. I ate so much king crab Saturday night I thought I was going to DIE. They have everything you can imagine, and it's all badass. The entire center portion of the eating area is a bakery/dessert prep thing with a few chefs running around. I had never seen a Buffet built out of solid granite before.

Then you can go blow a few hundred at the casino.

If you're looking downtown: Brennans or Mortons

If you're looking midtown-ish: Marks or Da Marco

Marks and Da Marco are my personal favorites, but Mortons or Brennans are hard to beat.

Brennans is awesome, but pricey. If you like cajun food, or just really good seafood dishes, I highly recommend Tony Mandola's on West Gray.

For steaks, Ruth Chris Steakhouse... pricey as well. Or you could just do a Fogo de Chow... that place is da bomb.

Those are nice 'mainstream' places, but if you really want to impress her with an intimate dinning experience at a high class place... the places I listed are it.

I've been to Brennans before. Our waiter was named Maximillion. (or how ever you spell it) He got pissed off when I call him max. I knew right then that was not the place for me. Food was good though. I think it was like $2300 for 9 people drinks and food.
