I used to be really bad, but have gotten a little more relaxed.

I check the door locks several times before going to bed
Check alarm clock
Shirts in the closet are lined according to type (work, dress, tshirt, etc) then by color in each section
When vacuuming the lines have to be uniform
Refridgerator is organised by product and labels face out
Other stupid little stuff. Most of it I can't think of because its so routine.

When I had the T/A I had several 'steps' to accomplish before I could start the engine.

When I was a kid, I'd count how many times I'd chew my food with each side of my mouth. If I knew it was going to take a while, I'd do it in 4 chews, then swap sides and vice versa. I would estimate how many chews it would take, then swap sides more frequently the closer the food was to being done. Also, if I started with the left side on one bite, I'd start with the right side on the next bite.

I would always eat things in twos, and throw the last one away if I only had 1, or I'd split it in half and eat one side with each side of my mouth.

Every time I drink anything, I pour it into my mouth, then suck it through my teeth, kind of like a filter. I took a drink out of a glass that had a roach in it when I was in elementary school, been terrified of it ever since.

I absolutely can't drink after anyone I don't kiss on the mouth regularly. I can't mess with my drinks after anyone has touched the lids. I HAVE to drink out of a straw at resturants.

I also set 3 alarm clocks in the morning. One 30 minutes before the second one, and the third 7 minutes after the second one. I have nightmares about being late for things and I'll wake up in a cold sweat.

But I'm sure that if I sat down and thought about it, that I have weird habits as well. Well, not sure if it's habits or really "routines".

Ya'll mention stuff about your cars. Well, I was reading something the other day about the delivery company UPS and their truck drivers. They actually have spent money on doing research about how a driver DRIVES his truck and the routines that they have.

They have devised a system of how to get in the truck, and what steps it takes to start the truck in one smooth motion (starting/seatbelt etc etc). Just FYI, you shouldn't see a UPS truck attempt a LEFT turn. If they plan their respective drivers routes out, it will all be right turns for obvious reasons!

Anyone ever have dreams about anything that is on the TV or radio while falling asleep?

One of the many reasons my wife and I don't have a TV in our bedroom.

I do have "the college dream" pretty frequently. It's the one where I realize it's the last day of the semester and I haven't been to class, but I need to pass the final to graduate. I wake up with that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, until I realize I haven't been in a college class since 2000.

I have to check the locks on my house before i go to bed.

most nights i have to have one of my 3 cats sleep with me, i think im scared of the dark

now that i think about it when i drink cokes/beers the labels have to be facing out

and the worse one is making sure my car doors are locked. i will get out of the car, hit the alarm, walk to my door and hit my alarm again cause i need to make sure it locked. it sucks though cause my alarm remote uses the same button for locking as opening. so im never sure f it locks. and it really sucks when i go to work because if im running late, and im not sure i locked the doors, i have to walk a block or more to double check it.

I guess I might do some small things, but nothing really stands out thinking back. Maybe I should develop a weird habit, like cleaning or organizing, because I dont give a **** and it shows.

Maybe not giving a **** is part of your disorder, no pun intended.
Music/trumpet playing

I'm constantly emptying my spit valve. Any of you who were ever in band know what I'm talking about.
Everything about the way I play the trumpet is based on routine and muscle memory. Mouthpiece has to be dry, lips have to be dry, mouthpiece has to be "clocked" (turned so that my lips hit in the same spot every time, even though it's a perfect circle, so it doesn't really matter), hands a certain way...everything. I'm really picky about it. And that's one of the reasons my students hate having me as their beginner teacher.

I was pretty serious in band but the mouthpiece thing I completly understand. I had a little notch in mine where I dropped it on bleachers and it always had to be at the top.
Fan going to bed seems to be pretty common, and with my trade I always make sure things are tight. I mean I will make sure a screw lug or bolt is tight like 7 or 8 times.

i always eat my meals from least to most favorite, kinda breaking that a little bit, but it drives my mom absolutely INSANE, so i should keep doing it

when i turn the computer on, its important stuff (email, school sites), facebook, then tech

i always check the *****, buttons etc when in the car. ac controls - fan must be on lowest, temp must be coldest and that dial on the right must be on OFF. my fogs must be on. cruise off and lights on the right setting.

on and i CANNOT sleep with a fan on. too noisy for me. i must sleep in pitch black silence.

and im pretty much an organization freak. the stuff in my trunk, center console and glove compartment all goes a certain way. you should see my dorm room..........

I Forgot when adjusting the volume on a radio or TV it has to be on a even number, even if the volume is perfect on a odd number.
