Default Possible David Carr trade !!!

Rumors are swirling about his release/trade. I have read that Jake Plummer for David Carr is a discussion. Here is the latest from FOX:

"David Carr’s future with the Houston Texans remains in limbo. Owner Bob McNair remained non-committal about Carr on Tuesday, saying he is still being evaluated and any decision on whether the fifth-year quarterback returns next season will depend on what the Texans can accomplish in free agency. “David has been inconsistent, and we‘ve said that” McNair said at a Texas Bowl luncheon at the JW Marriott. “He’s had some good games and he’s had some games that haven’t been as good. He’s a tremendous athlete. We’ve got to get better consistency there, either with David or with some additional help. We need more consistency at quarterback.” McNair has not publicly endorsed Carr in recent months and has declined to speculate on the quarterback’s future with the team for the 2007 season."

Yeah, I read an article where the Bears were interested in David Carr. If they think they hate Grossman, why would they take Carr?

I hope he does well. He's a good guy and has talent. I just think he needs a change of scenery.

Jake Plummer won't ever get us to a Superbowl either. He's too unpredictable, just like Rex Grossman.

We need Brady Quinn.

After seeing the play of Reggie Bush and Vince Young this past season I wonder how many more wins the Texans would have had. I just want the day to get here where both Texas NFL teams are dominate and some how, some way there is a Lone Star Super Bowl. Kind of like the Subway Series a few years back in Baseball up in NY.

Plummer's numbers were spectacular last year.

I have a feeling Carr isn't going anywhere, but I'm sure we'll find out in a month or so.

i would definitely take carr over grossman for sure!! do u texans fans think he just needs a few more weapons on offense? cuz his only target is andre johnson. i would have thought by bringing in eric moulds they would be killing people.

Andre Johnson led the league in receptions and was 11th in receiving yards (about 220 yards behing 1st place Chad Johnson), but, apparently a ghost was throwing to him.

Hey. We ******* beat the Super Bowl Champs!!!

Carr just needs a fresh start and Plummer would be a short term fix while someone watchs from the sideline learning the game.

As for Brady Quinn i see Rick Meier all over again. From what i heard about the senior bowl practices and i'm not to high on any of the QB's except the guy from BYU John Beck.

Texans have a lot of holes to fill still so I wouldn't be expecting playoffs next year. Need a RB, QB, OL and .......

Plummer for a year and draft Kevin Kolb in the 3rd round and groom him to be the starter after Jake.
