yea mavs are a good team, but like what some said in here the playoffs are a totally different season, and no matter what avery,the "jet",or dirk say you know the last 4 or 5 years they had potential championship teams and came back to dallas with 0 titles you know its in their head and its going to show sometime in the playoffs this year...when the NEW and IMPROVED yao comes back its our time!

It seems that everyone has been able to mention how great the Mavs have been playing against the Spurs and the Rockets this yr. How many of the Mavs "stars " were hurt during these games against the Spurs or against the Rockets?

Deavon George who is a HUGE contributor off the bench has been gone about two weeks now (bench forward).
Devin Harris hasn't been feeling well either of late.
AT least the Mav's aren't making excuses to why they are loosing...oh wait, even WITH players hurt they have still won 14 in a row.
Injured players are a part of the game. But if you team is balanced enough you should be able to makeup for the shortfall. When Howard was gone, Jason Terry stepped up. Don't forget as well that Mjbena is gone for the season with a knee injury which leaves the Mavs with only two centers for the rest of the year. Dampier and Diop are the ONLY TRUE centers, but they have still managed to win games!

This is the main reason the spurs can't hold on to leads this year. We don't have a fkn bench! Period! The spurs grab a double-digit lead practically every game and more than half their loses have came on blown leads.
Dallas fortunately does and that is a big plus for that team. However, so does Phoenix and that is why I pick Phoenix to win it all...
Amare Stoudemire is a fkn monster and nash knows how to split any defense.

How do the suns have a bench? Besides Barbosa who are you talking about? The mavs 2nd string could start for most of the east squads.
Besides Barbosa, jalen & kurt help get the job done so that is a supportive bench. My bad if you were thinking I meant 5 reserves like the mavs.
