Such a weird combonation! Seems like a rare car?

Wow, first 6 speed B4C I've seen. Plus being SOM and 1200 miles. Good find.

I remember when my engine bay looked like that...times have changed. Nice car though!

 

something fishy. Besides the fact that it is a 6spd B4C. I thought that GM only issued these cars to a PD. Why would a PD have the car and never put any miles on it? Did anyone check a carfax on this. I am just curious.

 

It looks like the owner or manager at the dealership ordered it that way knowing he could sell it one day. They also have a 98 1LE with low miles at the dealership.

 

It seems (to me at least) that in 02 GM let you add the B4C to any Z28. There have been a few cars like this on ebay in the last few months. You got everything that came with the regular Z28 package and Zrated tire package, you just didn't get the emblems (+ a beefier alternator). But I do think its odd that this car has leather seats but no leather on the shift ****, e brake, or steering wheel.

 

I like how they have the "Police Interceptor" badge...... in the Ford Motor Company bag. What a bunch of tools. They knew this would be valuable so they held onto it so it would fetch big bucks.

I am guessing the B4C + 6 speed combo was a special order deal. If you went into a dealership, you could basically get a build sheet and select your options.... I am guessing thats what they did.


Also, just looked at the sticker... the only thing listed in the "Special Service Package" is the tires. Does anyone know if they order a B4C, does it show up on the window sticker?

 

Special order car most likely. But, I don't think the "B4C" will ever be worth much in the future. The 1LE cars are more popular/desirable to most.

 

This makes the most sense. I don't see any dealer holding on to a car for that long unless it fetched 10k over sticker minimum. Does anyone here think it'll even hit sticker price at this time?

Late in 2002 MY, I believe Feb 02 GM opened the B4C package up too everyone. This was done because there was a demand by police departments for more of the cars because they were going away. GM did this because the B4C option had already been stopped. This was the only way to continue the build of it. I remember the F-Body father posting something too this effect back in 02. I could be wrong. If I was at home I could tell you how many 02 6 speed SOM B4C's were produced. If anyone has the Camaro White book check it out. I believe all the 02 Berger cars started life as B4C's also.

I have a 6spd B4C... only like 7 were made in 2000 though.

 

For MY 02 there were 7 six speed SOM B4C's and 1 Automatic SOM B4C.
One of the 6 speed SOM B4C's was a ZL1 Supercar (600hp) Variety.
This is all according to the Camaro White book.

 

Cool color combo, to bad I don't got $20k tho!
