Default Daughtry sold over 2 million CDs? WTF?

Like the title says. I just heard on the radio. That's insane. He out sold Tool and Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few. I am just about speechless... How many of you are his followers?

I am a little shocked. I do own his CD by the way... But I did hear that he turned down a gig at a childrens hospital for children dealing with cancer aids and such because he was afraid he would catch it. I don't know how credible the story is but it can **** you off.

The guy from American Idol. I know! I know! I'm a dork for knowing that, but it's actually a pretty good show. Except, this season sux!

Anyway, I'm a little surprised and not. I'm not surprised b/c he is a damn good rock vocalist. That's why I bought the damn CD. I am surprised b/c his CD wasn't near what I was expecting. Most of the songs all sound the same, and they're not as gritty as I was hoping for. That one song w/Slash is pretty good though.

I can. I mean that's what the album reminds me of. They go into MY "okay" category.
