NHRA Nationals in Ennis 07...
anyone going??
I tried to reserve a hotel in Ennis or Waxahachie, but no go, they are already booked...all of them, lol.
Anyone have good recommendations of hotel to stay at that won't take an hour long drive just to get there?? Maybe something in south FW, or Arlington???? close to 287.

sept. 21-24 i think are the dates. I just mentioned those 2 areas, since they have somewhat quick access to 287. a guy PMed about staying at a place in Italy, so Im going to look into that.
for those who ahve gone before, what is a good section on pit side to sit in, for a good overall view of the action?

nosir, 23...just VERY hardcore...my dad gets the tickets, I just get to go. The seats we have I would say are the best in the place since there is NO chance of anyone standing and blocking our view, and they are right at half track so we can easily see the starting line as well as the traps.

86 was the first year and Garlits freight-trained Gwynn for a hole-shot win in the finals...I wasn't there that year, and was only 3 so I doubt I would remember even if I were, However my dad has it on tape and I've seen it millions of times over the years. Garlits FTW!!!

Gwynn was a GREAT guy, always had an incredible attitude even after his injuries. My father and I met him several years ago after his crash and he was just as up-beat and positive as he could be. Garlits= Best Ever bar NONE
