Default BOOM!!! Goes the tranny :(

Well I should have taken my *** home but instead ended up on a Mexican highway toying around with a bike. After putting a hurting on the bike BOOM!!!! All I heard was pieces of metal hitting the road. Oh well I guess you gotta pay to play

Thanks TNT you suck!!! Anyone have a 4L60 laying around or maybe it's time to swap over to a 4L80 or built T56.

go with a built T56 unless you're a drag strip *****, or unless you just like the challenge of trying to get consistency at the strip with a manual tranny...sooo much more fun with a 6-spd

Well got under the car this morning and found what broke. Some mount connected to the y pipe and the "tailshaft"??

I wish I had someone in the car with me at least I would have had a video to compensate for the damage

Stock tranny with a cooler and 3500 stall. Shift points are around 6300. 150 shot. We went from about a 50 roll and left off about 130.

it seems like the 4l80 swap is the best

but i would rather just take the old one out and swap in the same thing

yea,

ima do some more research on the 4l80..still dont kno much about it. i know its more heavy duty, and has OD witch owns the th400 since my car is a DD. i just wanna make sure that there isnt any major modifications that need to be done to make it work. stock for stock the 4l80 should hold up longer then the 4l60e
