yeah, guess so, I mean you don't need em on the sand per say, but was thinking more along the lines of the kid hitting his head on the rollcage. I'm just an over-protective dead I reckon...although mine are 20 & 21

No personal piloting experience, but definate personal riding experience- with 2 other passengers and the driver. A twin turbo'd Northstar rail carrying a wheelie at 120 really puts your whole life into perspective

Try going up a steep hill and the front wheels come up off the ground so high the back tires get buried and the buggy stays stuck in that position with the open headers planted deep into the sand (cutting off the motor). Talk about seeing your life pass before your eyes. Been there, done that...
