I had headers put on at conleys on a 2000 Z they did everything for 400 but took forever, HPE does everyrhing cheaper and faster with great quality they also know a lot more about F-bodys you can just tell bt talking to them. I had gears put in at Conleys and they left out 2 rear end bolts also my bottle heater wiring came apart.
There nice people but money is money.

yup, they are a sponsor. I'm not asking for them to make amends or anything, just posting my mistake so no one else does the same

I took my Turbo TransAm there many a years ago. I forgot what exactly happened and it was so horrific for me that I put it in the back of my head to forget about it but to NEVER take my car back there again. Bluntly the only thing I could recall was that I got charged very high on something to support their race cars I reckoned.

about a year ago they charged my friend 500 for a tune. they asked for the keys and we expected them to put it on the dyno, but instead they drove around the block a few times and got on it a little(IN THE RAIN) then came back and tuned on it for about 15min(not on the dyno). flashed the computer and handed him his keys back.

Always get an invoice, most shops will tell you if they need to do some thing else and will call you and let you know.

It works both ways, unfortunately.

When I managed a repair shop I actually had a customer become irate because the bill came in less than my quote. For all of the work we did I quoted him $1200.00 and the bill came in at $1146.58. He felt the need to 'haggle' over the price then saying he'd pay $900.00. I love cheap *** Mercedes owners.

Wow, and to think I charge $300 for a cam/springs swap to locals. I could be charging a buttload more if I had worked for Conley's.

I'd say you got screwed.

I only got a quote for the headers which I was told would be $400 which I thought was normal. Now I may be wrong but at every other place I've been to, installing headers means removing the stock exhaust & spark plugs, then installing the headers. Not here, they charged me $400 for the header install, $75 to remove my stock exhaust, & $40 to install my new spark plugs, which is all stuff that is normally included from the other places I've been to. I know on my WS6 I was charged $350 at Madman & Co to take off my stock exhaust, install new headers, y-pipe, catback, & install my new plugs & wires
I REALLY should have gotten a quote on everything first because I got charged $240 for the drill mod, $344 to install my new shocks,& $320 for my poly motor mount install. Again maybe these prices are normal these days but when I modded my WS6 5 years ago, prices weren't even close to that. Was I ripped off cuz it feels like it. I won't be going there again

Off topic, but if you saved your cats there is a guy buying them for $130 in the WTB section on here. Just thought you could get some of your $$ money back. To get back on topic I was charged $258 to put my headers in at another shop and that with welding in bullets in the ypipe.

I think a header install at g-force is 300 bucks...I would tell them to **** themselves in the neck.
