I didn't say anything that wasn't true. Food for thought.

i have never understood y chuck never used a wideband to tune cars.
that was one of the main reasons i never went to hpe for any tuning
on my vehicles. even the ultra skilled top notch tuners in the US, all use
widebands and i doubt chuck qualifies for any top notch status.

I remember this situation last year actually and we were out of S cams at the time and had to order a few MS3's just because they had them in stock and our order wasn't coming in for a week or so.

The MS3 and S cam are essentially the same cams. You can even ask anybody and TSP and they'll agree...

S cam: 238/242 on a 112 .605/.609 lift
MS3: 237/242 on a 112 .603/.609 lift

From Comp every cam is going to vary just a little bit on it's exact specs. Heck, I've seen cams off 3-5 degree's at times when you actually measure them. So the 1 degree was not going to make a difference either way because the S cam could have had error in it from Comp just like the TSP could have, so it'd all equal out.

And I remember your car not tuning right because of so called cracked intake issues or your MAF. Which you did not have us look into, I just gave you my opinion on what could be wrong based off what it was doing.

Dyno's all read different, especially with automatics and converters involved. So 400 on one day and 380 on another... who knows. Different dyno's to read different. Conley's dyno vs. our dyno, etc.

Either way, I apologize for you being dissapointed and we probably should have called you and let you know we were using a competitors cam. But like I said, they're really the same thing so it shouldn't matter! We did what we needed to on the spot to make you happy. Otherwise you would have had to wait for our S cam order to come in.

If there's anything I or the shop can do, just give us a holler. We're happy to make it up to you.

Chuck

DAMN IT CHUCK! it doesn't matter if they are the same or not! Chevy and GMC pretty much the same right? NOT.

He paid for a specific item not an MS3. If you damn well knew that you didn't have any S cams you should have at least have given him the dag gom comon curtasey and given Izzy a call!! ETHICS!!! DOES THIS NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYBODY ANYMORE!!! ETHICS!

no this is not chuck. i somewhat know him, this is billy from austin by the way chuck.... but are you people still not reading what was written? chuck has told the guy to call him and let him know what he can do ti fix the situation! yes i still do agree he should have been told and im sure chuck thinks so too deep down. working at a performance shop and actually being involved in it, you sometimes lose track of time and forget to do things. you may not think so, but most havent worked at a establishment like that. the shop i have run/managed for the last year is in no way close to the size and moves no where near the volume of hpe, but its easy to forget stuff that happens. its funny how all of a sudden since josh and stephen left, which they are also friends of mine so no flame/harm ment, but since they left everybody sure seems to have it out for hpe. i know hpe does great work, but yes, if i do get a ls1 powered car josh and stephen will do the work. also, the owner of the car SHOULD have called the shop and asked what the deal was before posting this and it would have been taken care of. if i were chuck, after all this bullshit and bad mouthing in this post, i would find it VERY hard to make the wrongs right!

Chuck,

I think your first post was a decent attempt to make things right, but you should have left off all the excuses and reasons and just admitted you made a mistake.

As for your 2nd post about Goodrich Tires, it's not even close... It'd be like purchasing Goodyears, and Discount being out of them so they throw on some BFG with similar specs

As for your posts after that, I think you may be letting your ego get in the way and pretty soon you'll realize that your ego just cost you a lot of business.

what a bunch of ******* idiots... i will admit, chuck should have told the dude it was LABELED as a MS3 cam but COME THE **** ON YOU IDIOTS!!!

ITS THE SAME GOD DAMN CAM!!!!!! its ground by the SAME GOD DAMN COMPANY, i guess that if chuck had sanded off MS3 on the back of it and wrote with a sharpy S cam that the situation would have been alright??

what a bunch of whiny *** tool bags. chuck has always been a stand up guy and taken care of his customers. maybe his friends and cars he has SPONSORED should quit ******* him up the *** time and time again over and over. then maybe the dude wouldnt be so hesitant to help people out.

the point still stands.... WHAT THE **** IS THE DIFFERENCE between it being a S cam or a MS3 cam??? you got the car done, it ran good, what in the hell are you bitching for??? its not like it would have performed ANY different with a "s cam"

give me a ******* break.

btw chuck.. i think i somewhat understand why you said you were sick of working on Fbodies... these guys seem like they jsut want to whine about anything and everything. REAL racers see track results, see dyno results and are either happy or pissed... who gives a **** whats in it. if it runs good and all the parts are matched together well then the shop DID THE CAR GOOD!

if somebody knowledgeable like HPE said they had a S cam and a package thats PROVEN to work well together time and time again then i really dont give a **** if they rename somebody else **** that HPE HAS PEICED TOGETHER TO MATCH THINGS, and name it something of their own.

Hmmm. Chuck, you are a major tool. We are going to refund any remaining balance you have with us. Blaming us for under-moderating a thread where you substituted a cam shaft without asking and notifying the customer is lame.

I'm the sort of person who will remind you of your toolness, and I hope everyone else does too. You have a terrible attitude.
