I really wouldn't consider Fogo a steakhouse, but it is damn good. Taste of Texas is badass! Haven't been to Vic & 'tonys yet, but heard great things. Gonna have to hit that palce up soon!

Welcome to Fogo de Chão (fo-go dèe shoun), a dining experience like no other. Sit back, relax and enjoy the truly unique steakhouse atmosphere from Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil.

As for good steaks, money no object - Ruth's Chris, Morton's, or Vic and Anthony's.
On more of a lesser budget, try Willie G's on Post Oak. They are known more for seafood, but their steaks are great. Also, try the Lobster Bisque - best in town.

Well, there are lots of opinions but it depends on the person. I've been to a few expensive (100/person) restaurants (on the company's tab ) that were really disappointing.
Taste of Texas is usually pretty good with their steaks. I've been a couple of time and been disappointed, but most of the time it is very good with reasonable pricing @ <$30 for most steak dinners.
In the end, some people might say one place is awesome just because it was fancy, they had few drinks by the time the steaks came, or they just plain associated the price with quality. You just have to take things into context. A good steak is easy to ruin, and a bad steak is hard to make taste better. Unfortunately, its tough for most people to hit a nice steak place more than a couple of times a year, unless fine (expensive) dining is a hobby of theirs.
A good place that served all kind of different meats/steak was the Rainbow Lodge. Very expensive, but not your typical steak place.

I've heard Ruth's Chris, Vic and Anthony's, and Papas Bros Steakhouse are excellent, though I don't have personal experience with them.
