Default WTB: 1998-2002 LS1 F-body or 1997+ Corvette

As many of you probably already know, my car is a trailer queen and I miss driving it on the street. Heck, I miss having a muscle car to drive on the street period. That is why I'm in the market for another one. I prefer to have another F-body, but if I can come across a great deal on a Vette, I would consider it. Here's what I'm looking for:

Trans Am WS6 (preferred)
Formula WS6
Trans Am Firehawk (preferred)
Formula Firehawk

6 speed (a must)
Leather or cloth
All power (locks, windows, mirrors, seat, etc.)
T-tops (no hard top or convertable)
Light colors only (white, silver, pewter, etc.)

Same options applies to the Vette.

It might help if you list your desired price ranges.

I'm in the same boat as Dragaholic. I am ready for another fast street car. Since my wants list is pretty similar to his, I am going to jump in and hopefully help spark the conversation.

I am looking for an 01-02 z28 or ss camaro. Must haves are leather, 6-speed, power everything, t-tops and it needs to be in decent condition. My plans are to do full bolt-ons, cam and heads and pretty much stop there, which should make it a reliable yet pretty fast street car. I want to keep my up front purchase price at or below $15k.

Any thoughts or advise? I come from the 2004 GTO world, so even though they are similar I am a big time newbie to f-bodies and vettes.

Mike, I'll have to come check it out again one day.

Tony, it all depends on what the car consists of. I don't want a car all hacked up, but done well if its heavily modded. I really don't have a preference if its stock or modded.

Strini SS,... Too bad its a dark color. I'm definitely set on a light color. Thanks for the offer though.

BlueSuperGoat, wow. Jk.

AGRV8Dk, I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, I think he has an aftermarket hood.

No no no. I was kidding dude. Seriously. You could either just follow up with this thread by viewing what's offered to me, then PMing that person or make a thread of your own. Hell...you're more than welcome to reply, comment, etc. to what's posted here. Makes no difference to me. Good luck to you and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Not bad, not bad. I've been putting in a lot of overtime, more than I expected. I'm working 2 weekends out of the month, putting me around 74-75 hours for that week. When it is my weekend to work, I work 12 days straight which puts me 125-135 hours for those 2 weeks.

Beck was starting the intake manifold yesterday and once that's done, it shouldn't be much longer as the heads and short block are ready.

I don't think you will find many C5's that will fit that criteria for under $15K, if you do, they will either be really high mileage, wrecked or salvaged from my experience.
