Electrical HELLLP!

Okay....new guy here. Seems to me I have an electrical short/something discharging my battery. Car wouldn't crank so I took the battery to Autozone, tested good. Then I took it there running and they said the charging system was good. Runs good a couple of days, then I let the car sit a couple of days and again no crank. I konw there are so many things it could be so I guess my question is does anyone know a good auto electrical shop in SE Houston/ Friendswood area? I don't wanna get raped because I know some troubleshooting will be involved...Thanks for the look.

funny now that you mention it....when I took it there the batt was at 11% charge. They charged it up and said it was good (they called me a couple of hours later). When I went to pick it up several hours later,it was at less than 50%. The guy said it was because someone left the leads on it. They charged it again and he said the charge was holding. Oh, yes it is a red top optima. Maybe I should just buy a new battery and hope that's it? I read on here that once the optima goes dead and gets recharged it's pretty much shot...do you agree? Anyone?

yea. once you kill a optima dead it will never take that deep charge it needs. pretty much gotta replace it at that point. otherwise you should be fine.
