My friend's Dad rebuilds first gen. Camaro's on his spare time. He has around a good 3-5 or so sitting at his shop just across town. He built one not too long ago. It had a 350 crate engine, auto transmission, rally rims, new paint (red with 2 black stripes), and also new interior. He sold it for like $14,500.

Interesting read...now I want to see better pics too.
The documentation was really good though and will make some new owner very happy one day. What the heck is on the radio *****?

Agreed 1000x over. Either keep it all original & make a fortune on it later or sell it now & buy a project 1st gen. & start from scratch. You could probably completely fund your project by selling the current car.
I personally could bring myself to alter a mint 1st gen with all matching numbers & original everything.

Bringing up the dead. What's the staus on the Camaro? Your in San Antonio and I might be interested in buying it from your dad. PM me his asking price and when I can come look at it.

OMG, I can't believe you even considered talking your dad into destroying an orginal camaro , as others have said you will lose to much value by doing anything to it but restoring it.
