I think some of you folks just need to calm down, if you are interested in the car, then call the guy, if not then just enjoy the crappy pics he posted and move on. I don't see a reason for all the drama??
What codes do I need to look for on my '69 to find out if it's an original 302 or not?

I think I said earlier but I'm not sure... everything is original except; the cam,the intake, the exhaust, and it has different rollers on it. Different rims, but he still has the original rims. The heads are double hump like the 69 302 had. It needs just a few more things that are easy to find.
I'm just wondering if we should pay someone good to get some resto work done so we can get closer to what were looking for $$ wise.
I know it would be worth more running of course.
We also have an original oem steel hood, original emblems, new gaskets, new light bezels and stuff for it thats been sitting for 10 or so years, back when we were buying stuff for it.

ok, if you want to prove a couple of things, first off, take another pics of the order sheet which shows it was ordered with RPO Z28. The two pictures you have posted show that it had the RS option, and that it had a red interior (which jives with your pictures) the rest of the order sheet is just to small to make out.
Take a picture of the cowl tag. This is up on the firewall on the driver side. This will help in determining if it is a Z28.
Finally, take a picture of the block. There is a stamping pad on the passenger side of the block right where the head bolt onto the block. It sticks out a bit further than the head, and this is where the block is stamped with the engine and transmission code. For it to be an original 302 from a Z28 it needs a DZ engine code on that pad.

Building it in any way other than stock is about the worst thing you cna do to a car like that thats matching.
