Default Need Help With Exhaust Ticket!!!!!

Well yesterday i got pulled over for my tds. of course he said they had to pass my backseat and extend all the way to the back of the car... well i was wondering can i get this dismissed if i put full exhaust. I dont want to get rid of my duals but if it has to come to it then it has to happen. Oh and to top it off earlier that day I had gotten pulled over for the same thing but DUNCANVILLE *yes i said duncanville....strick bastards lol* gave me a warning.

I think if you were to present a receipt from a shop showing that you had the exhaust re-ran, that would suffice to get you out of the ticket.

I got pulled over a few months ago for no front license plate and TDs... They said theres no way they'd dismiss it, but I think it was just the court that I went to. IIRC larger courts dismiss if you "fix" the problem. The ticket wasnt bad tho. I think it was $~160 for the exhaust ticket. I was a little scraed to drive by cops in that town for a while(schertz), but no cop stopped me after that.

Just tell 'em that you just recently bought the car and that is the way you bought it. That's what I would do. They might ask you for proof or something but Idk. Both my Camaro Z28 and Trans Am were under my Dad's name so whenever I got stopped I would just tell them "It's my Dad's car, I know nothing about it.. I'm just using it." and they would always let me go with a verbal warning or so .

I think I literally had my car for a couple weeks and I tried the whole " i just got it" excuse, but no dice. I think most would let you go if you told them that tho. I didnt even think about saying it was in my dads name

Take them a receipt showing exhaust work. And then print out a picture with a identical car like yours who has legal exhaust and show it to the judge. its worth a try..

Damnit, I got pulled over today for the same reason.... And the cop had to pull up behind me on a red light....

MS4+LT's+TD's I guess its loud. His main reason wasn't for the noise, but because he didn't see my tips and said I didn't have any exhaust.

Works every time for me because it's even under his insurance. I've had around 6-8 State Troopers let me off because I have told them it wasn't my car. I once got pulled over for goin' 80 on a 65 and I told them that the speedometer was set off because of the rear end gear change and also bigger rear tires then stock. They also let me go...

I knew the Schertz cops were dicks but not that bad. I've driven around here (I live in Cibolo actually) in my cousins cammed 5.0 no cats no mufflers the thing is loud as hell. I actually got a cop pull up next to me and give me a thumbs up!

LOL... I know for sure that I couldnt throw some BS at him about the exhaust like you did with the rear/bigger tires. I tried to act dumb at first, but then he called them true duals etc. He knew what I had

Sounds like that cop knows what he's talking about lol. I live in a small town and I'm pretty cool with most of the cops here. One has a '94 Camaro Z28 and the another one has a '04 Mustang GT. The Camaro Z28 runs like 13.9 and the 'Stang runs 12.8's or so. Pretty cool having cops that race, they don't mess with us as much.

Is there any of this going on in Houston? It seems like the smaller towns is where the problems are.

What I dont get is how come those motorcycles with the hellacious chest thumping exahaust can get away with something twice louder than what we would dare to drive out on the street.
