this is just a funny question cuz it varies for everyone.. everyone's expenses are different so it's very difficult to say. You have to determine your monthly expenses vs. income and go from there. Figure out how much you have to put down on the car, how much you'll be financing, and determine how much your payments will be.. if you can afford the payments and your current living conditions, you're good..

I had thought about gettin' one, but why whenever I can have the same performance out of a GTO or something cheaper. I was soo close but couldn't afford the payment and insurance, so instead I got a '00 Firehawk. It's paid off, I live at home with my Dad and have no bills to pay except $28 a month for car insurance, $75 or so for my cell phone, and then some money for gas... All the extra cash is gonna go towards mods!

You get what I was trying to say. I didn't mean they have the exact same performance. An stock LS2 GTO would get killed by a stock Z06 Vette.. but with that extra money you save from buying the GTO instead of the Vette, you can always make that GTO a little faster.

I did a quick calc for ya. They say you shouldn't exceed 20% of your net income for car payments, credit card payments, etc. so, assuming:
1) You don't have any other debts
2) Drive out price is 75k and you finance 100%
3) 72 month financing
Your looking about 100k plus salary. That is just a very rough calc, there are alot of other factors obviously..
