COOLANT LEAK - Not Heater Core?
Howdy! Alright, my buddy and I are getting frustrated as hell. I have a pretty decent amount of coolant leaking from the passenger side of my car somewhere near the firewall it looks like but its NOT the heater core! The coolant is leakin so bad when the heater is on at a rate of about 2-3 drops a second maybe more and causes a puddle pretty quick but doesn't seem to leak when the heater is off.
The water pump and thermostat look great and have 12k miles on them. The hoses and hose clamps look great. The radiator is not leaking anywhere. I am at a loss for what else could be leaking and maybe I am just missing something on this car without having a lot of experience with it.
I did take the throttle body off not long ago (but without disconnecting coolant lines) to clean it out and just bolted it back in. Could i have messed something up there?
Thanks for any input! This is posted in general maintenance section too but yall seem knowledgeable. -Karl

Just to clairfy passenger side outside right? Could be the hoses to your heater core. You really cant see the whole hose for a good inspection. Quick way to elimanate that as a possibility is to take both hoses off of your water pump and and just use a small loop of hose. it is two different size hoses so you have to get an adapter. All for less than ten bucks at a part store. My heater core was leaking when I was traveling once and this was my quick solution.

I had a problem like this but it was not the heater core hose. I had a battery leak acid on the radiator return line to the catch can and it ate a tiny hole there (under the battery where you cannot see it but know it's leaking somewhere!). Check that too, that might as well be the culprit.
