all supras that run 7s and low 8s are using the stock OEM block (with upgraded pistons and rods) , OEM ported head, stock rear end, and axles..if you dont know, then you need to do a search...
im not saying LXS can not be made fast...but you have to spend alot more in aftermarket parts so they can handle the power..

well ****, i thought by stock you meant stock, not super modified, ported, and reworked
i dont need to search anything, bc idc i'm just saying, when you say stock, you should probably specify, i mean, you can have plenty of stock parts, its the modified ones that make it fastttt I appreciate the thought.. but not really. My viper is by far my slow car... I love my viper... and it dont get better looking then my viper... but it would be crushed out by alot of modded F-Bods and Supra's out there...

I'm not sure where everyone is getting their info, but...
I gained a respectable 150hp or so for less than $500.
If you know where to look, you can get bolt ons fairly cheap for this car.
Plus, the reason I bought a Supra in the first place was so I could gain some ridiculous power with IHE and a boost controller, unlike a lot of other imports, where you get MAYBE 5-10hp from similar mods.

Granted, if I wanted to swap out the twins for a big single upgrade and all the bells and whistles, then yes, I can see spending several grand to do so.
But $70K????

Most of the Supra guys I've met at the Nationals have spent considerably less than $10,000 and have 10-11 second cars.
As far as there being 40 Supras in Austin.....no...I don't think so.
