well, I agree its alot of the younger age... But I have seen older guys doing the same...
Example... Hulen Hooters GTG beginning of the month.. Then we went over to some little road rice meet... That is where big ole drama broke out.
Some mustang guys over there hanging out with the rice, talking about they can beat everyone... LOL... well at least 1 older guy with his mach1... LOL.
arguing, complaining talking about beating Nick's camaro...
I had to step in and say dude.. Lets go race my car vs your car..
because I know nicks car gets me, and I was sure I would get him..
Then there was more drama, and we left.. LOL>..... great times.

Dam.. And that is probably why he didnt want to race me...
cuz he was wanting to run another mustang not a camaro...

Mustang people scare the **** out of me sometimes.
Sometimes I think after a race they are going to break out the banjo and start square dancing on the hood of there, "high performance tuned race cars."

I had a funny thing happen the other day. I went to fill the car up and a few pumps down was a GT with stripes. So I'm leaning against my car and I hear a kid say, "Hey dad, what about that car?" There is a pause and I hear the dad say, " I can beat it."
I start laughing because I know they're talking about my car since the other ones there was just a normal 4 door sedan and a pickup. I know my cam isn't big, but you can hear a lope and my exhaust definatley isn't stock. So he either sprays, raced an LT1 and can't tell the difference, just has no clue, or just wanted to look cool in his son's eyes. I found it funny though.

So why is it that the average mustang owner thinks they can woop any camaro, let alone any car, on the road..
I owned a mustang and when I owned my 03 GT, I did not feel I could woop everyone, actually I knew I could not whip everyone.
over the past 2 weeks, I have come across quite a few mustangs that just keep wanting to race me... LOL..
I will hit it and pull them, then at 100MPH, they will blow past after I let off the gas, and keep going like they won...
I cant figure it out... It seems to be alot of people in the DFW area that are like that..

Seriously though, I did beat a 6 speed ss from a roll in my 01 GT, but that car must have just been a turd.

Zach, stock SS & stock Z aren't in reality noticeably different, so it don't matter if it was an SS or not (just sounds cooler). From a roll can be awkward if you start in the wrong gear, but not giving dude/dudette driving the SS any excuses. Good one.

I'm sure LT1 owners would totally agree with you there. 
There are cocky people in every camp. Just like I've seen newbs with SS's that think Z28s are slow and Vette owners that think nothing can beat their Vette. I had a run in with a couple guys in a new C5 with paper plates back when I was stock. They got pissed when I pulled them.
When all is said and done, we all suck because imports are where true performance is found! Don't believe me? Just ask a ricer and they'll tell you.

I had a eclipse trying to run me on the bush last night... Was funny as hell because I seen the cop when I got on the highway, and he was already on so he was coming up to me...
He pulls up next to me with his fart tube... slow down by gearing it... sounded ******* awful!!!!!
So I give it a little punch to get him going, I am in same lane as cop, but 4 or 5 cars back, he is in left lane..
I hit the gas a little to make it look like I am taking off, he takes off..
I let him go, he gets pulled over...
LOL>
I was ******* rolling.. I had to call everyone I knew....

one time i was cruising up to the college with the wifey and a c6 pulls out on the road which is straight with no lights for about a mile and a half well long story short i lost but only by about a car (considering ive only got a catback and mail order tune i was happy) well fast to a few weeks later were at the park just got done running and this 05ish gt is revving thru the lot i tell her hes calln me out and she doesnt believe me well we get in the car he happens to go the way im going i pull up next to him and she has the nerve to tell me not to lose again i laugh and tell her not to worry. halfway through first the stang saw nothing but taillights and that was all she wrote......
