Car TUNED.... TRANNY Killed.. LOL
Steve thanks for the tune...
So as most have seen I have had a screwed up tune that was holding me back.
My buddy John has HP tuners, so yesterday we uploaded a new tune I got, and tuned the **** out of the car. DAM..... 100 shot no problems... Like it has never run before..
its now tuned for 150 shot woohoo....
I have never been able to lift the front end up the way I can now...
So last night the wife wants to take it for a run...
The car is hitting, twisting, and launching insane now...
Wife has it around 120, it does this insane shift from 3rd to 4thOD.....
BAM...
Rips the tail housing into 2 pieces.... HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS BEFORE????
well long story short, a few connections produces a tail housing...
THANKS CHRIS..
my buddy chris comes over this morning...
well here we are all done... fixed car..the broken tranny costed around 40 dollars... THANKS CHRIS!!!!
so all in 1 1/2 days... tuned car, works ******* great...
broke tranny tail housing...
FIXED it today.... woohoo.. again thanks chris.>.
car drives great....
4l60E also FYI.......

we pegged it to the t arm.. that was our thoughts was the t arm ripped good, yanked the tranny in 2, since the engine was pulling the other way.
LOL
but that will be ordered before race season fully gets swinging...
ty for the input...

Happened to my a4 with the steel driveshaft while topping it out on the dyno. Replaced the tailhousing and put an aluminum driveshaft in and no more problems. Was the vibration from the crappy factory balance on the DS.

So would you guys say more the driveshaft, or the torque arm ripping and bending around.
It looks like the break is in the area where the torque arm mounts up.. That is why we pegged it to that...
But if you guys have had experience with that being the driveshaft.... DAM...
here is another pic of the break.
