I personally can't stand a bunch of bling on a 4x4. I like these:

So my truck has too much bling? Personally, I think it's just right. I didn't over do it, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I've never seen your truck, nor was I talking to you. I just stated that I don't like bling.....I like to off road....and chrome, won't get you home. Get tough reliable well made wheels, not some cheap chrome 20" or larger wheels. You want bling, get a Cadi.

I may go with forged wheels this time, the cheap 1-piece cast wheels don't hold up as good. Cheap chrome etc...

Good plan. I doubt you'll be rock crawling with it though. Maybe you can go have some off road fun at Barnwell Mt. on some of the less extreme trails. I'm planning on going out there next month with some local off road clubs. http://www.barnwellmountainra.com/

Very nice truck, Tony. That thing will look sweet once you put the right wheels on it.

I only ended up losing about 5K total on it over the course of 10 months.
including the wheels/tires and other stuff you put in it?

Modsquad, damn dude relax. "nor was I talking to you" I was just posting up a pic of my truck, stating that you can tastefully add bling to a truck and not over do it. Plus, I highly doubt Tony is going to be doing anything extreme with the truck anyway. I don't see him doing rock crawling, mudding, off-roading, etc. in a $40-$50k truck.

Nine Ball, what do you plan on doing with the truck? You state cast chrome wheels don't hold up good, but I have had no problems with them at all.

WildBills Toyota, yes, they're 951. Wanna buy 'em?

I never saw the pic since most hosting sites are blocked at my office. And I'm plenty relaxed, don't misread my tone, my reply was in response to Tony getting wheels. So don't get butt hurt if people aren't talking to your or giving you attention, I was simply saying that somehow you thought I was talking to you when I was clearly talking to Tony, the O.P. of this thread.

And as for Tony doing extreme stuff.....well, you have seen some of his rides, you can't tell what he might do next. For all we know he could put a 10" lift on it, tune the Duramax & make a monster truck.....how about we just let him decide what to do with it since it's his truck & $$, lol. I was just suggesting he can hit some trails with it, he could probably hit the 1 & 2 star trails up there in the truck for fun & get out of town & get some camping in if he wanted.

Jeramy, Modsquad also mentioned 4x4 trucks, so you shouldn't have thought he was talking about yours. Isn't that a 2wd?

I won't be mudding or rock climbing in this truck, screw that. If I wanted to do that I'd have bought a beater 4x4 to ruin.

I can't even lift this truck really, our parking garage at work is pretty short at 7'-6" roof clearance. My previous Dodge 4x4 had 1" of roof clearance with 33" tires and no lift.

Damn Tony....didn't even occur to me about the parking garage at work!! Bought a leveling kit for my truck and was going to stuff some 37's under it....guess she's going to sit in stock form

Too bad....those new Chebbies looks pretty tough with a lift!!

That does look pretty clean....fills out the wheel wells. Weird, my truck looks like it has a huge rake on it how it sits now....doesn't look like it has much of any on your old truck.

Anyway, enough talk about the Rams!! Can you go 33's on the Chevy stock? They look like they have even more room than the Rams.

Yes, 33s should fit fine on the GM truck also. I'm probably going 18s with 33s, I prefer the thicker tire look. I had 18s/33s on my previous GMC:
