Default Legit or scam??

I emailed someone in the Houston Chronicle about an English Bulldog puppy that is for sale. He wrote back and said that he is just the breeder but that he would have the owner contact me.

I just got this:

Hello,
I was told to contact you,I am looking to rehome my babies and I hope you will be ready to give my babies a good home.My babies need you home so much. The babies are freindly and healthy. They are Kennel registered, currently vet checked and will be 3month old next week wednesday,I have all their health certificate and papers here with me.The male is bax and the female is belina. They love to play with Toys and i feed them on Pedigree Dog Food. Also,They are home trained, spoilt and potty trained they don't mess the home with their urine or excreter. Also they can be left in the house with nobody for at least 6hours.I am selling the two babies for $800 including shipment to your door. The weather in West Africa is giving a big problem and i don't want them to be affected before i ask for help. And if you want one puppy i can sell for $400 including shipment to your door.I and my husband are now in Nigeria and i have made inquiry on shipping of Livestock and animal back to the USA and I was made to understand that it can be done without problem and the reciever in the USA can get them within time from the time i shipped them here in Nigeria, they will be coming via airplane.I will need to have your home address, phone number and you fullname so as to get them registered immidiately i get the reciept of your payment.
I pray that the Goodness of God be with you.I do not have access to internet regularly so please be free to call me on the phone number below if you do not get a reply from me quick.I will like to hear back from you soon,I am anxious of finding my babies a new home. Please be free to email us back, our phone number is +2348072676008.

Thanks and God bless,
Shantel and Adam

It also had 3 pix attached but they look like one you would get off of the net somewhere.

With everything in life, if you remember that not everyone is out there to do you good....you'll be fine. This is a full blown scam.

The damn Nigeria scam. Anything with the word nigeria is BS. Some little bitch bought a bunch of commercial construction equipment with my moms bank account and then shipped it to nigeria.

Its a scam. There was an article on the Bulldog scam the other day in the chronicle. Read just like that. Dog never shows. AKC of course recommends buying registered dogs face to face

And I was hoping that not only could I buy their puppies for that price but that maybe I could even be lucky enough to hold a check for them for a small fee and maybe even go over there and buy one of their kids!

Oh well, let the local dog market begin.

I would never buy sight unseen! It was from the Chronicle and showed puppies for sale in Houston. THen I got an email from a guy in Miami forwarding me to a chick in Africa!

If only I could immediately trace them down and sue for lying...

They do the same thing with birds. Sad part is that some people have actually sent money to these people. I saw a bunch of places claiming to be religious organizations needing to get rid of their animals. Who would trust shipping a dog or a parrot?? LOL
