Old school here, too. Back in the day I was bangin' my head to Iron Maiden, Metallica (before Burton died), Slayer, AC/DC, etc...
I've mellowed a bit in my old age. Major blues fan. But there are times when I have to break out "Reign In Blood" or "Highway To Hell" and crank the ****** up.

Well, you're going to hate me for this. I have pics of meeting Metallica at Texas Tapes 'n' Records back in February, 1985. Later that night I went and saw them at Cardi's on Westheimer. Armored Saint opened up for them. Loudest concert I've ever been to. 2 nights later I saw Iron Maiden, 14th row floor, The Summit. Ride The Lightning and Powerslave concerts, both within 48 hours of each other. My ears were ringing for 2 weeks after that. Probably why I can't hear **** now.

Jeez, I don't know. A while. The original one anyway. Another one opened up somewhere else in town but I don't think it lasted too long. I'll bring the pics to our next meet...if I can find them. Been ages since I last looked at them. Cliff Burton was kind of an ******* but the rest of the band was pretty cool.

I have a G&L Legacy Special, '59 Fender Musicmaster, Celebrity (Ovation clone) Acoustic, Yamaha 5-string bass, Arbor Randy Rhoads knockoff with a Washburn Wonderbar, and I keep a Squire Affinity Strat at work for plinking during lunch. And I got my 5 year old daughter a Washburn Hannah Montana acoustic for Christmas.
I play at church, and I practice on whatever I feel like. Last week it was some Joe Walsh, before that it was SRV.

Satriani, Johnson, Hendrix, DMB & Tim Reynolds are some good ones to play. Master Of Puppets was first song I learned all the way through (everything), and same album for me to play all the way through (everything again). Talk about years ago. lol
Peace,
Craig.

One is a Seagull 12-string, and the other is a Fender Strat. These are by far my two favorite to play. The other guitars I have are a 6-string Ibanez and a 6 string Alvarez. They're stuffed away at some unknown location in my house.
I have not been playing much the last 2-3 years since I got hooked on LS1's. You know what they say, to quit one drug you first need to replace it with another.
