anyone elses car run like **** in the rain?
Stayed the night in austin last night and drove back this morning... I thought my damn car was about to die... It bogs down like crazy. but If I give it enough gas, it kind of bogs down and then out of know where seems like it accelerates better. anyone elses car do this? possible fix?

No SES light.. I also notice it sometimes when i first start driving the car even on dry days, it feels sluggish if I try to accerlate before it warms up. ... but mostly in the rain.

The o2 sensors are getting water in the connectors.Go to Autozone and pick up a few small packets of Dielectric grease that is used for sparkplug wires and put in the connections after you dry them out completely.

There is no rain baffel in that hood, I cut it out. It is sucking water into the motor, that is why it is bogging down. If you want to fix it, find something to cover the hole in the hood when it is raining.--Tony

Doubt it, water is not good for the MAF or other sensors in the air intake, but I highly doubt you have messed something up. I know that you do not want to intake to much water....I have seen what happens to pistons when they try to compress water.....not a pretty site, lol. Believe it or not a little bit of water going into the motor will help de-carbon the inside, lol. I know a GM Master tech told me once that that is how they used to de-carbon ol' Cadillac motors, lol.--Tony
