the companys are actually soliciting the cities from what i understand and the city rents them the land to put the camera not really getting much of the fines. IMO it still sucks but if you follow the law and dont run the light you dont have anything to worry about.

In AZ, if you get one in the mail and it's not delivered certified mail or by an officer, just ignore it because they don't have a way to guarantee you received it.

Same here. This is what the back of the violation says verbatim:

Pursuant to Article XIX, Chapter 45 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Houston, Texas, the registered owner of the vehicle is presumed to be liable for payment of a civil penalty if the vehicle proceeds into an intersection in an approach equipped with a photographic traffic signal enforcement system in violation of Texas Transportation Code Sec. 544.007(d) It has been determined that while facing a steady red signal your vehicle proceeded into such an intersection without stopping and standing until an indication to proceed was shown or your vehicle made a right hand turn, or a left hand turn from a one-way street onto another one-way street, while facing a steady red signal without first coming to a complete stop and not proceeding until it was safe to do so and yielding right-of-way to pedestrians lawfully in an adjacent crosswalk and to other traffic lawfully using the intersection. Failure to pay the civil penalty of $75 or to contest the liability within 45 days after receipt of this notice of violation is an admission of liability and a waiver of your right to appeal the imposition of the penalty and shall result in the imposition of a late-payment fee of $25. The notice shall be presumed to have been received on the fifth day after the date the notice is mailed. You have the right to contest the imposition of the civil penalty before the municipal courts administration department and requesting an administrative hearing within 4 days after the receipt of the notice of violation.

So where does it say that I won't be able to register my vehicle if the fines aren't paid? It doesn't say anything about being reported to a credit bureau anywhere in that dissertation either. Legally, they can not take any further action unless it is otherwise explicitly written.

It also says on the front: "payment is admission of liability"

Anyway, based on all of that, who can conclude what the penalty is for not paying the $75 fine? anyone?

well I'm shocked you can correctly spell the word "dumbass" but you never learned the meaning, difference between, and correct usage of the words "your" and "you're" so I'll explain it to you, dude. "your" refers to possession of something. ie. your girflfriend is my ex bitch. "you're" is a contraction that means "you are". you probably don't know what a contraction is either since its evident "your" a moron since "you're" word usage is all jacked up. did that sentence look right to you? of course it did. dude

ps: got any pics of your "elite" hot rod?

Since they use pictures to catch you I would take a picture of $75 and send it to them. Only because I am a smartass.

actually the city gets half of it and the other half goes to a crime victims fund of some sort. Maximum is 75 bucks STATE LAW just passed recently and the lawmakers even specifically mentioned Richardson cause of their 275 buck fines.

Dudes, I remember seeing something on the news where some DUDE had the same thing happen to him. The DUDE sent the police department a picture of the $75 bucks and the DUDES at the police department got smart and sent the DUDE a picture of handcuffs. Little left to say the DUDE ended up paying the fine.

You DUDES have a good day!

wait...dude...where's my car??

Get your credit rating damaged and it will hurt you WAY worse than a damaged driving record. Just try buying a home, a new car or apply for a new job with a bad credit report. You will be royally screwed.
