Help car bogging down at 40 mph??
2 nights ago I was driving my A4 and I pressed the gas down and it started to bog and then suddenly jumped to life like it normally drives. So I plugged in my diablo to check DTC's and I had errors in my maf and my spark plugs and rear o2's since I no longer have them b/c of my longtubes. So I cleaned my maf and changed all of my spark plugs and it's still doing it . Any ideas on whats going on? Thanks

It's one of your front o2's.. Since you changed your plugs & cleaned up the maf then your o2's are the issue. I just replaced my front left o2 this wkend and same scenario like yours.. It bogs and then it jumps to life and drives normal. Since the change, no bogs or sputtering.

Check the ENG SEN fuse under the hood. If blown replace it. Use your Diablo to data log and see if the MAF is reading. And if you installed the headers I would double check the front 02's. Make sure that they are plugged in to the correct front o2 plug in the wiring harness not the rears. Also if you extended the front 02's make sure its wired correctly.

mine was doing the same thing i thought it was a cracked spark plug from the header install, it turned out where the 02 extension hooked up to the 02 it was full of water causing the sputtering and back fireing

At one time my car did the same thing. The engine fuse was blown. Replaced it but it wasn't long before it did it again. I then had to start looking into why the fuse was blowing.
It turned out to be the O2 wires on one side of the car had been pinched and were grounding(shorting) out.
Good luck.

Thanks for all the replys I changed my fuel filter today and it seemed to help a lot but it still did it once after that so I call diablo and asked about which p codes to turn off for the rear o2's and did so, but it still did it again so I am going to check the fuse and front o2s and see if it's not those.. and thanks again for the help!
