Congrats on the purchase.
My thoughts exactly. I built one for my ex hers ran high 12's at 108 with Thrasher CAI, Ported tb, Pacesetter Headers, Pacesetter 3" Catback, SS Intercooler, DHP PCM, 3.25 Pulley on 225/50/16 Street tires.
Her car ran a 13.6 at 105 with only a 3.25 pulley, CAI, 3" downpipe, DHP PCM and a 160 thermostat. Pretty damn good.
But like he said they dont have much

I liked It so much I bought one last summer.

The not much I am referring to is that if you dont do much to it, there is not much there.
It is supercharged, and alot of people tend to feel that it is supercharged, and is an *** kicker right out the door...
Like the cobalt SS... supercharged, but you have to do some modding to get the benefit of the "supercharged" vehicle.

that was my reference to the not much potential.
If you drop some good money into it, then yes...

but a stock one is fast, but it feels faster then they are.
I had 2 buddies that had them. So yes I have road in them bone stock.

My wife had a 98 GTP from 98 to 2001. It was a nice running car. It was bone stock and could slightly pull away from my buddy's modded V-Tec Integra that ran 14.70's.

I bought one from CasperTheGhost above I like it for a DD. With the bit of intake and exhaust work done to it, and a little pulley swap it's making enough power to hang with stock LS1's and such. On the way to work every day I pull down about 22mpg, and I get 30-32 on the highway. With leather seats, sunroof, and the other little bells and whistles on the car it makes for a comfortable road trip and DD

I like it ALOT better than the 4th gen Camaro's I've owned in the past!

We've built a few of the 4T65E-HD's out of GTP's. Those are fun cars to drive.

I've got a '99 GTX which is the SLP version. This one has been in our family since it was new. My mom drove it for a few years and I used to take it out to the races in Dallas all the time...LOL Ran the bottle on it and then took it off and parked it back in the garage hahaha

I've got it now as my DD. It's a great daily and gas mileage is good. Since I got it I lowered it, upgraded to F-body brakes, did a 3.4 pulley, DHP PCM, plus it's got the SLP catback and ram air. Favorite mod so far is installing the '04 seats. They are 1000x better than the stock ones!
