I just had the same problem. I was hearing a rattle/clunking noise. I checked the spare tire twice, factory amp, shocks u-joints,torque and exhaust. I was doing a brake job on the rear and for some reason I grabbed the lower control arm and pulled on it. When I did that it slid across the bushing and hit on the bracket where it bolts to the rear end. I put new lower control arms on and problem solved.

awesome news dude. i **** my pants everytime i have to turn left. was it like a pop noise that shook the floorboards?

Mr. bad news morrison over there kept telling me i broke my rear end. luckily while examining the bottom of my car, another dude grabbed hold of the LCA and it rolled, whereas the other side stayed firm.
