MTI no longer does F-bodies?

MTI is not the only shop in town. There are plenty more places that would love to work on your car and keep working on it. Even if its not the popular thing to do

I didn't have my car long enough to mod it. I never took it to any performance shop. But I can see why they would do this. Tony's post is right on, mainly about so many F-bodies being hacked up.
I had my part out list on a few different websites with extremely reasonable prices on everything. Some guys had WS6s that were probably 5 or 6 different cars put together. And those same guys are the ones that would get pissed off when I wouldn't come down on my prices, waste a lot of my time, and some would just hang up on me once I said, "If you can find it cheaper, let me know so I can buy it and sell it for what its worth." On the other hand there have been some DIY people that bought from me and actually knew what they were doing.

My diesel truck has beaten Corvettes before too, so should MTI work on my diesel truck too? That makes just as much sense as a bunny with a pancake on its head.

several years ago we took a car over to MTI to have it tuned. we were told they no longer tuned LT1 cars and we talked to them for a while and ended up getting the pcm bench tuned and a some really good insight on some projects we had going for free.
i haven't had the opportunity to deal w/ them since but i can agree you have to evolve to stay near the top.

Yep, they were the pioneers for a lot of LS1 stuff, now they are keeping up with the times.....can't blame them. LS1's have been in production for what, 11-12 years now? Not sure when the 97 C5 came out, but I'm sure it was in late 96.....and again, for you guys with low mileage clean cars, I'd be willing to bet they will make exceptions for you
