I completely understand. Family and work comes first, the car thing is a hobby.
My turd is going partially under the knife, at least the rear for now. I'm leaning towards a Midwest Chassis fab 9". Bit overkill for me at the moment, but great peace of mind and something I can grow in to. How do you like the 3.90's? I've been wanting a gear set in that range.
bmxer,
I'll be out there late. I have to pick the wife up a the airport. Flight comes in around 6:45. It'll be 8 or so before I get to the track if it lands on time, but Gilbert should be out there. Anyway, I'll be rolling the TBSS in all it's stock glory.

The 3.90's are good but not on a 28' tire ike I have its like I have 3.42's and with a 6 speed
I am planning on boosting it in near future though it all depends on what you want.
Spray vs. Boost
Spray I would go 4.11's to 4.56's with a 6 speed
Boost no higher than 3.90's

I got a best of 9.1722 @ 79.38 in the TBSS.
I know it isn't anythng remarkable but it's not bad for being completely stock, under 4k miles, and a 2 ton+ vehicle. I didn't even remove the spare, let the engine cool, drop tire pressure or anything. It was a better time than a newer Mustang GT ran....

It's a nice track. Needs another 1/8 mile for my taste but it was prepped well and no long a$$ lines. I hooked better in the right lane last night though.
The big bonus, I got 4 runs in an hour and could have done more. I only got 4 runs all day when I went to Ennis.

Well... I am pretty sure I only saw one 5.xx pass all night. The Fuel Altered that was out there has too tight of a Converter in it and they didn't have a hope or a prayer of hooking that thing. Xtreme's car went into tire shake immediately on the 1st 2 hits. The Blue HPP car didn't hook either, took the hit well but spun 100 ft out or so... Manny still ran a 5.88 pedaling.
The track was cold, the guys at Northstar fought it all evening. We really are lucky to have folks like Nick and Larry who understand and recognize less than favorable track conditions and actually try to do something about it. One issue they had was the fact that they had scraped the track a few days ago and did were not able to get fresh rubber down.
That's drag racing though!
